On our way to Lisbon via Evora

What an amazing town. There is so much history everywhere in Portugal, but especially in Evora.

An amazing place to stay...in an old converted convent and,
yes, you guessed it, there are archeological artifacts here too.

there is always adventure around every corner...follow the signs :-)

speaking of signs...after you pass through a town, there is a sign like this that means you have left the town.
We were grateful to be out of Purgatory since Portugal seems like heaven!

Roman ruins in Evora

Basically any time they do foundation or plumbing work they find something ancient.
This was a buried ground for knights.

We entered the Chapel of Bones. The pictures cannot show how incredible it was.
The walls are lined entirely with bones exhumed from a nearby cemetery.
